Why I hate Blogging

Any why I'll start doing it moving forwards.

My main issue with blogging previously has usually been due to a few main factors:

  • The software Developer in me wants to make my own platform for it (I get bored and stop) meaning I don't even get to the point of typing an artic
  • I often want to write, but fail to come up with a topic that excites me enough to actually write about it
  • When I do write, it's usually half baked ideas (like this post) that end up going nowhere, contributing nothing and being wholly unsatisfying.

However, recently I started a new job in consulting and have been spending the last month on training; this is the longest time I've dedicated to training in quite a while and It's reminded me of two things:

  1. Reading is my preferred form of learning
  2. There are a lot of blogs, and a lot of useful and useless articles on them

And so in some sort of noble persuit to increase the number of useless articles available, I thought I'd toss my hat into the ring.

Essentially, I respect people who can explain their thoughts well and command the english language, and I figure that the best way for me to cultivate this in myself is through regular practice. Additionally, this is some form of creative persuit, which is good for your general wellbeing, so what the hell, why not?
